This year, CCSD was pleased to name legendary Hall of Fame broadcaster George Blaha as the 2025 honoree.

George was recognized for his efforts which have positively impacted the Society and reflect the belief that “nothing is ever too much to do for a child.” In addition to his financial support of CCSD, George has changed the lives of boys living at Christ Child House by personally underwriting tuition to attend Loyola High School and opening doors to additional grants to support ongoing education.

“We all have only so much time and resources to devote to charity, and there are so many in our area who are near and dear to my heart and one of them is Loyola High School,” said Blaha. He is proud to have connected these two “difference makers” in our community acknowledging that “Christ Child House is a place where boys who have faced impossible, intolerable situations are given a chance to succeed. I hope many more Christ Child boys’ lives are enhanced through the Loyola experience.”
